Choose a ‘Fire Warden’ to read out loud the Fire Safety messages and keep score.
Give each player a 1 x Fire Hazard and 1x Fire Safe card.
Place the deck of cards face up on a table displaying the Fire Safety message and picture.
Each player places either a Fire Safe or Fire Hazard card face down next to the Fire Safety message.
Once all players have placed their card, the Fire Warden turns over all the cards to read out loud the answer.
A player scores a point for a correct answer.
Continue playing until all cards are revealed.
The game is played in the same manner as the print version, with the exception that the player can use a mobile device as the Fire Warden and chooses if the Fire Safety message is a Fire Safe or Fire Hazard on the mobile device. Players are rewarded with a unique animation and message from a virtual firefighter and scoring is automatic on the device.
Place the cards around the home in the locations described on the cards. i.e. Saucepan on the stove in the kitchen, Clothes dryer in the laundry, fireplace etc. When playing in AR mode, as a player finds the cards they are “collected” by the app with the player being rewarded for their discovery.
Two or more players – the player who collects the most and correctly identifies Fire Hazard or Fire Safety, is the winner.
